I liked it most of the time. Of course sometimes I didn’t – there were some parts of it I didn’t really enjoy that much. But on the whole it was good. I actually much preferred physics and chemistry when I was at school, rather than biology, so it’s funny that I’ve ended up becoming a biologist.

I loved science at school, although I preferred biology to chemistry until I did my A Levels. I had an amazing chemistry teacher called Mr Acaster who was really enthusiastic and knew so much!

I also enjoyed history a lot, especially the history of science, but I wasn’t very good at it.

I did enjoy science at school, but not always, it depended on the exact subject. I enjoyed physics more than the other sciences. I very much enjoyed doing experiments even back at school, my favourite was trying to understand how much energy there is in a comet by dropping playdoh balls into buckets of sand down three flights of stairs.

I really only liked biology. I sucked at maths and hardly survived chemistry and physics classes, which i just didn’t get. These things only got interesting for me when I realized they were relevant to understanding biology. Now that I work with statistics (a kind of maths) a lot I wish I had paid better attention back then…

Yes I did, but I liked most subjects. My favourites were probably Maths and English. I didn’t like doing pottery in art. Sometimes I deliberately put bubbles in my pots so they would explode in the kiln.
