• Question: if the moon disappeared now would we still survive and for how long?

      Good question – I don’t know. I don’t think we would die from the moon disappearing, but it would have a big effect on people’s lives because the tides would be much much smaller, since it’s the gravitational pull from the moon that causes these. But I think people would survive, it’s just that life would be different – for one thing it would be much darker at night!

      I don’t think it would make that much difference. Like Sam says the tides would change. I guess that might upset the plants and animals that live on the edge of the sea.
