I have a book about this, and although I can’t think of what it is called or who it is by I will find out and comment its title on here, because it is an excellent read.

What I think would happen is that life would get on fine without us here, and probably within a few thousand years you would not know very easily that humans even existed.

I agree with Steven: life would carry on just fine. The planet got on fine after the dinosaurs died out, so I don’t see why it should be any different for if humans die out.

Like Steven and Sam said, the planet would get on fine without us or probably, in terms of animal diversity and natural balance, be much better!

There is a really lame joke of two planets meeting. One says:”I feel terrible, I think I’ve contracted Homo sapiens”! The other says “Don’t worry, it’ll pass!”.

I agree wiht the others, life would just tick along although there may be a change in dynamics. Humans interfere a lot with nature so some species might even get on better than they do now!
