      I haven’t studied chemistry since school so I can’t tell you much. But here’s a colour chart of the scale and some of the things at each pH level.

      The pH scale is about the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution. Ions are like atoms with extra or missing electrons. The more hydrogen ions, the more acidic a solution will be, and the fewer ions the less acidic it will be. There are some different tests for pH and I think the colours can change depending on what you use.
