This is not really a question for science to answer. It’s more in the realm of philosophy or religion. If you mean “what is the meaning of life?” then the answer is “42”, according to Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

As an atheist, I think there is no ultimate purpose to life. Rather it is the job of every person to define their own life on their own terms.

I suppose one answer is that our bodies are our genes way of making more genes. So the “purpose” of our lives is to reproduce our genes. However, we don’t have to do what our genes want. We are free to make up our own reasons for living.
