• Question: Why is water aid to be more important then food?

      Water aid as in giving peolpe fresh drinking water? I think this mostly has to do with you can get a lot of nasty diseases from drinking contaminated water, such as cholera, which kill hundreds of thousands of people a year.

      I agree, water can be super-nasty in many places in the world. Also, you can live for much longer without food than without water.

      It might also be the case that it’s harder to transport water than it is to transport food (though I’m not sure about this). Plus people need water to grow their crops and feed their animals as well as for themselves.
